| Well, the video camera was located all the way back in the sound booth, so most of my songs have TONS of talking chatter all through them. It was hot as Hell, and I was unprepared for it. My brother, Jeff, always used to use Vagisil feminine powder to make sure his hands were not too sweaty to change chords or even individual notes without great difficulty. I will remember that next time! |

| Anyway, the songs are frought with poor quality recording, and many missed notes, but it was fun, and I can deal with the fact that I could have played better. But again, it was fun, and it was a great honor to open the show for the likes of The Surge!, Mister Neutron (who, to my amazement, knew me on sight and made me feel like *I* was the celebrity!), Daikaiju, and The Penatrators, as well as The Broken Spokes and El Capitan and Thee Scallywags (Arrr!), and almost most of all, The AcoustaSonics, who nearly stole the whole show. You've never heard such heart felt as well as musically perfect acoustic surf music. They could honestly hold their own with The California Guitar Trio. They were comprised of The guitarist of the Surge! on lead, the bassist of the Surge! on 12 string rhythm, and The Broken Spokes' bassist on a dreadnought acoustic base. |
| And for some reason, Unsteday Freddie, the surf emcee from New York City, and I hit it off like we were long lost brothers. We spent over an hour talking about the philosophy and spirituality of instrumental surf music, and he even asked my opinion several times on a new compilation album that he is working on, and he trusts me enough not to let any of the details about it out until he's ready. |
| As a whole, it was a truly amazing, and HOT day. |
